PRODUCTION AREA: Tenuta Calitto and Tenuta Montecorvo in the municipality of Forio, western part of the Island of Ischia
VARIETY OF GRAPES: 100% Piedirosso
VINIFICATION: Piedirosso is one of the vines of certain indigenous origin of the island of Ischia.The grapes harvested at the best degree of sugar and phenolic ripeness, are pressed and the must thus obtained is left to macerate and ferment in stainless steel tanks in contact with the skins. In this phase the pumping over is frequent to favor the passage of color and noble tannin from the skins to the fermenting must. After racking, the alcoholic and malolactic fermentation is awaited and the appropriate decanting is carried out. The wine then continues its refinement in steel until February when it will be bottled.

COLOR: Intense ruby ??red with violet reflections, it takes on shades tending to garnet.
OLFACTORY AND TASTE NOTES: Clearly vinous, broad, rich and intense bouquet, anchored on fruity and spicy notes of undergrowth, wild blackberry, raspberry, cherry and blueberry. It has a dry, full taste, with a slightly bitter aftertaste.
SERVING TEMPERATURE: 16-18 ° C
PAIRING: Perfect accompanied by fatty meats, poultry, rabbit.Served slightly cooler, it also goes well with more structured fish-based dishes, such as tuna. Also excellent with mussel pepper.
