The Impagliazzo family farm extends to the slopes of Mount Epomeo, on the southern side, in the Ruffano valley from which it takes its name. Five hectares cultivated mostly with typical Ischian vineyards (biancolella, forastera, piedirosso etc.) without any chemical pesticide or fertilizer as well as the orchard and citrus grove from which the fruit for homemade jams and desserts comes.
Honey is harvested from typical Mediterranean flowers of the place, grown spontaneously, in its most genuine and pure form. Also in the vast property, the breeding of small farmyard animals and the famous rabbit that characterizes one of the typical dishes of local cuisine is followed. Among the various plantations, the whole territory is surrounded by centuries-old olive trees whose skilfully processed fruits give rise to a renowned extra virgin olive oil worked exclusively in the cold with a mill.
Particular importance is then dedicated to the cellar, always open to guests' visits, where it is possible to taste together with small local specialties the wine "Ruffano Bianco", "Ruffano Rosso" and "Passito di Ruffano", all PGI and selected from grapes grown with care and natural methods typical of Ischia, such as the vinification that always takes place in the strictest respect for local traditions.
